honor an individual who has a significant and profound effect, and
who has given inspiration, motivation, direction and guidance to the

Creativity is in my blood, exclaimed Ms. Lanza as she accepted
the Award surrounded by family, friends, and colleagues. The
cornerstones of the activities profession play an enormous role in
all that I do and in all of my accomplishments both
professionally and personally.
These accomplishments include authoring three books
Essentials for the Activity Professional in Long-Term Care,
Nurturing Nuggets for Dementia Caregivers, and Nurturing
Nuggets for Nurses; developing and managing Buttonberry Books, her
own publishing company; the establishment of the first THE FRONT
PORCHSM state-certified dementia special care unit affiliated with
the Saint Barnabas Health Care System; two international speaking
engagements with the European Alzheimers Association; four national
speaking events with the National Alzheimers Association; various
television and radio appearances; and a nation-wide dementia
education speaking tour with Cross Country Education, a national
leader in educational products and services for the health care
industry.
I can not express what this award means to me, described Ms.
Lanza, pictured here (left) with ???????. It is such a privilege
and honor to be recognized for something I value so tremendously, by
people whom I admire and respect.
